Plant-Based Omega-3 Reimagined Ahiflower® Omega 3 is based on the seed oil of the plant Buglossoides arvensis and delivers an exceptionally broad spectrum of polyunsaturated fatty acids. At its core is the combination of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), stearidonic acid (SDA), and gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) – a composition that differs significantly from conventional plant-based omega-3 sources. Particularly noteworthy is the content of stearidonic acid (SDA), a rare omega-3 fatty acid. SDA is considered a direct precursor to EPA and thus represents a functional expansion within plant-based fatty acid sources.
